Handling

This is the story of Lucía, an active little girl, who looses a tooth. Her parents reassure her that the Hairy Tooth Fairy (a mouse named Pérez) will come to her bedroom to collect her tooth, leaving some money in its place. The news reach Pérez, The Hairy Tooth Fairy, who collects teeth and exchanges them for their weight in gold. But what would normally be a routine trip for the legendary rodent takes an unexpected turn…Pérez is kidnapped by scoundrels who wish to hijack the fortune. Lucia finds out about this, and, along with her cousin Ramiro, sets out to save the Hairy Tooth Fairy for the sake of children everywhere…

Juan Pablo Buscarini´s The Hairy Tooth Fairy was in the official selection of the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival.

This feature combines live-action and 3D animation and can from now on be added to the hall of fame of films in this genre like Stuart Little, Who framed Roger Rabbit and Mary Poppins. The film opens in Spain in December 2006.
