The film is the first English-language feature of critically acclaimed director/writer François Ozon (Swimming pool, 8 Women, Time to Leave). The film stars a brilliant cast with Angel Romolo Garai (Scoop, Atonement, Amazing Grace) in the title role co-starring Sam Neill, Charlotte Rampling (Swimming pool, Heading South) and Michael Fassbender. Nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival 2007.
