NonStop Entertainment acquires Golden Bear Winner Tuya’s Marriage

At the recently closed Filmart festival in Hong Kong NonStop Entertainment acquired the Chinese drama Tuya’s Marriage, by Wang Quanan, awarded with the Golden Bear at the Berlinale 2007.

Acquired from CineClick, Tuya’s Marriage tells an unconventional Chinese love story of a woman who divorces her crippled husband to find another who can support the family. Set on the Inner Mongolia steppe it’s directed by Wang Quanan and is starring his regular lead actress Yu Nan.

The gripping drama won the Golden Bear prize for best picture at the 57th Berlin Film Festival 2007 and NonStop Entertainment is distributing the pic in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
