NonStop Entertainment's 7 new acquisitions at the Berlinale 2009



NonStop Entertainment is proud to announce new acquisitions at the Berlin Film Festival, adding high profile features to our line-up of quality films.
 

Following titles were acquired by NonStop Entertainment at the Berlinale 2009:
 
In the Loop acquired from Protagonist Pictures. Directed by Armando Iannucci, the man behind TV-hit The Thick of ItIn the Loop is a witty and sharp take on the political underpinnings of Britain going into war, featuring Tom Hollander, James Gandolfini and Steve Coogan. NonStop Entertainment is distributing In the Loop in Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics.

London River acquired from Elle Driver. Competing at the Berlin Film Festival. The film features the meeting between a muslim man and a brittish woman shortly after the bombs in London. With Brenda Blethyn and Sotigui Kouyat. NonStop Entertainment is distributing London River in Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics.
 
The September Issue acquired from Elle Driver. Won the Grand Jury Prize for Excellence in Cinematography at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The film, directed and produced by R.J. Cutler, tells the story of legendary Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and her larger-than-life team of editors creating the issue and ruling the world of fashion. NonStop Entertainment is distributing The September Issue in Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics.

Admiral acquired from Rezo Films. Russias most expensive and successful film ever, directed by Andrei Kravchuk. An epic story which focuses the renowned Tsarist Polar explorer, World War I naval commander and leader of the White Army forces in Siberia, Admiral Alexander Kolchak. NonStop Entertainment is distributing Admiral in Scandinavia and Iceland.

Cass acquired from Goldcrest. Based on the true story about Great Britains most notorious football hooligan, Cass Pennant. Directed by Jon S Baird. NonStop Entertainment is distributing Cass in Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics.

 

 

The Sicilian Girl acquired from Roissy. Based on the true story of a seventeen year-old girl who choose to oppose the mafia, along with that, her own family. NonStop Entertainment is distributing The Sicilian girl in Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics.


Largo Winch acquired from Wild Bunch. Has become a huge success in France. Starring Tomer Sisley and Kristin Scott Thomas. The film is based on the comics about the super hero Largo Winch who's been adopted by a billionaire and is compelled to fight against evil forces that tries to ruin his fathers empire. NonStop Entertainment is distributing Largo Winch in Scandinavia and Iceland.

As previously relayed NonStop Entertainment has also picked up Swedish Berlinale Forum favourite Burrowing (original title "Man tänker sitt") for Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics as well as entered in an associate producer deal with Warp X, an offshot from Warp - the company behind This is England and Dead Man's Shoes.
