Biopic, Crime, Drama
Cass Pennant is an orphaned Jamaican baby adopted by an elderly white couple in London. He grows up in a time before political correctness and is forced to endure racist bullying on a daily basis, until one day when the years of pent up anger came out in a violent burst. In violence, Cass finds the respect he never had and became addicted to the buzz of fighting and soon finds himself as the leader of West Ham’s infamous Inter City Firm, hated by many and feared by all.
The film is based on Cass Pennant’s best selling autobiography and is a gritty look at the English casual culture of the 70’s and 80’s. In the vein of This Is England and Football Factory, Cass shows both the attractions and dangers of life in a violent gang.
