About the movie

New York City. Eric Packer, a 28 year-old finance golden boy is chauffeured across midtown Manhattan to get a haircut. His anxious eyes are glued to the yen's exchange rate: it is mounting against all expectations, destroying Eric's bet against it. He is losing his empire with every tick of the clock while an eruption of wild activity unfolds in the city's streets. After receiving information about his imminent assisination, his paranoia intensifies during the course of his 24-hour cross-town odyssey.
David Cronenberg (A History of Violence, Eastern Promises) directs a stellar cast in this psychological thriller about the decay of one powerful man in the course of 24-hours. Based on the novel by Don DeLillo.
