About the movie

A vampire tale set against the desolation of Detroit and Tangiers, an underground musician, deeply depressed by the direction of human activities, reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover. Their love story has already endured several centuries at least, but their debauched idyll is soon disrupted by her wild and uncontrollable younger sister. Can these wise but fragile outsiders continue to survive as the modern world collapses around them?
With movies such as Mystery Train and Broken Flowers and numerous awards and nominations, acclaimed director Jim Jarmusch retunes with this personal take on the popular genre of vampire movies with a stellar cast featuring Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, War Horse), Tilda Swinton (Broken Flowers, Michael Clayton), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Jane Eyre), John Hurt (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, V for Vendetta). Premiered in official selection competition at Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
