In 1972, soul singer Aretha Franklin was at the height of her fame when she decided to go back to her roots of gospel music. Together with a gospel choir, she recorded her legendary album “Amazing Grace” in a church. Nearly 50 years later it has finally been restored to a soulful visual experience.
The live album became one of the most successful gospel records of all time and included songs like “How I Got Over”, “Precious Memories” and an 11-minute rendition of “Amazing Grace”. The concert film has been praised as a treasure of a time-capsule and leaves everyone’s spirits moved through the powerful voice of the iconic artist.
