Documentary
Through a series of unforeseen events and bizarre connections driven by the internet, the comic character Pepe the Frog came to be a symbol of hate for the far right. Artist Matt Furie, creator of the comic character, begins an uphill battle to take back his iconic cartoon image from those who used it for their own purposes.
Feels Good Man is a beacon of internet literacy about a whole new language - that memes are flexible, omnipotent, and pieces of a phenomenon more powerful than their creators. Feels Good Man premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award.
