First Love

About the movie

A young boxer named Leo meets his first love Monica, who also happens to be a callgirl, during a perilous night in Tokyo. They fall passionately in love with each other, but risk losing each other after getting innocently caught up in a dangerous drug-smuggling scheme.
First Love premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and was celebrated by critics as well as audiences for director Takashi Miike’s (13 Assassins, Koroshiya 1) noir-tinged yakuza film. The film is an exhilarating cocktail of bloodbath violence, romance and tar-black humor, ready to be served for enthusiasts of crime films.
