Upstate New York, 1953, a working class neighbourhood in a small town. In this violent post-war culture controlled by men, a group of headstrong teenage girls unite into a sisterhood of blood: they form the Foxfire gang, a secret female-only society, recognized by the flame tattooed on the back of its members’ shoulders.
Award-winning director Laurent Cantet (The Class, Human Resources) returns with this English language drama adapted from Joyce Carol Oates’s critically acclaimed bestseller. Featuring Ali Liebert (Apollo 18), Michelle Nolden (Red) and Tamara Hope (Shall We Dance). Winner of Best Actress at the 2012 San Sebastián International Film Festival.
