Timeless
Based upon the true story of Kaspar Hauser’s sudden appearance, this film tells of a mystery without counterparts. In Nuremberg in 1828, Hauser comes seemingly from nowhere, with only a strange note with him. He’s as good as unable to neither speak nor walk, and becomes a great mystery to the Nuremberg population. It is told, when he has finally learnt how to express himself, that he has been trapped inside a cave for as long as he can possibly remember. How can this man possibly be integrated into society? The answers and results are striking.
The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser became a three-time winner at Cannes Film Festival, and gained Herzog even further praise and acclaim.
