Timeless
When entomologist and school teacher Niki Junpei visits some far off sand dunes to collect specimen for his work, he misses the last bus back home. By some villagers, he is guided down a ladder to a house in a sand quarry, where he is to stay with a young widow for the night. Upon awakening, he realizes not only that the ladder is gone and he is trapped in the pit, but also that this was the plan all along, for him to help the young woman digging out the pit to prevent them both from a certain burial.
