Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau tells the story behind what is one of the worst movies ever made. When visionary director Richard Stanley was fired due to the swelling egos of lead actors Val Kilmer and legendary Marlon Brando, preventing Stanley from fulfilling his vision. This is a tale showing the dreadful possible result of a common conflict, the one between the artist and the businessmen.
Lost Soul has since its premiere at London FrightFest been a hit on the festival circuit, garnering several awards and exuberant critical and audience response. The film features the cast and crew of the original movie, including multiple award winner Fairuza Balk (Almost Famous, The Sopranos).
