On a remote Colombian mountaintop, a mysterious rebel force group known as the Organization must watch over an American hostage to make sure she stays alive. What seems like a simple task, develops to a more complicated matter when their base is attacked and the rebel soldiers – who are all children – must battle for survival.
Monos is the third feature film from director Alejandro Landes (Cocalero, Porfirio) and has captivated audiences as well as critics since its premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. Nominated for Best Feature Film at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival, it has been praised for its mesmerizing scenery and talented young cast as rebels.
