Driven by the voice of her unborn child, Ruth is to extract revenge for the death of her boyfriend. Her trouble is that she doesn’t know who to blame. Luckily, her child speaks to her from the womb, guiding her through her vicious yet funny killing spree.
During her real-life pregnancy, Alice Lowe not only acts but also directs her own screenplay in Prevenge – a slasher comedy with as much humor as horror, gags as gasps. Lowe rose to fame through her roles in Locke, The World’s End and of course caravanning thriller Sightseers, where her screenplay earned her a British Independent Film Award. Prevenge was part of the Official selection in both Venice and Toronto.
