About the movie

The story follows a young ninja who is operating undercover in the court of an aging Lord, during a peaceful era in Japan that is on the brink of change. The Lord challenges his lazy samurais to a punishing marathon to toughen them up. In the mix is a ninja whose loyalties are tested and the lord’s rebellious daughter, Princess Yuki, who wants to participate in the race.
From the director of Candyman Bernard Rose with a score by Philip Glass, inspired by a true-life race still held annualy in Japan, Samurai Marathon is an action-led film with a samurai twist.
