Bryon Widner was one of FBI’s most sought after white supremacists. Covered in racist tattoos from head to toe that he earned performing hate crimes, he conducts a destructive life. When he meets Julie and her three young daughters, the responsibilities of fatherhood awaken a desire to leave the movement behind. But the white supremacists that he is notorious amongst, will not let him abandon the movement easily.
At a time when Neo-Nazis and white supremacists have been increasingly visible, Skin depicts the real life of a white supremacist who became desperate to leave it all behind. Skin had its world premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, and is an official selection at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival. It has been received with critical appraisal, including for its cast who make outstandingly transformative performances.
