About the movie

Marian who is on the run from her violently abusive boyfriend, returns to her hometown to hide out with her identical twin sister, Vivian. With the return to hometown, she fails to tell Vivian and her husband the real reason why she came back. Marian somehow convinces Vivian to switch places with her for one single day and in doing so it alters the trajectory of both their lives with the advantages and disadvantages of being the other person.
Superior is Erin Vassilopoulos’ feature debut film that expands on her 2015 short by the same name. Superior played in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
