About the movie

Peter, an American writer, travel to Rome in order to promote his new book but arrives to the horror that there is a killer on the loose using his novel to justify murders. Suspicions grow stronger all around as Peter’s novel is attacked and criticized for being sexist and his moral scruples are questioned. All the same time the murdering stalker closes in on Peter while he in turn is trying to discover the killers’ identity.
‘Tenebre’ is considered a prominent influence on modern filmmaking with a compelling mystery story and excellent camerawork with a very present spectatorship. Written and directed by Dario Argento who was influenced by his own experiences with aggressive stalkers, the film is over 35 years later still viewed as a classic piece of cinematic art.
