Thirst

About the movie

A highly trusted, beloved small-town priest volunteers for a medical experiment which goes terribly wrong and turns him into a bloodthirsty vampire. The transformation results in physical and psychological changes which force him to commit actions that make him fall deeper and deeper into despair. Stuck in a situation he can’t get out of, he struggles to maintain whatever is left of his humanity.
Chan-wook Park, who gave us films such as the Venice Film Festival-winning Lady Vengeance and Oldboy, which achieved several prestigious prices such as the Grand prize of the Jury in Cannes 2004, is back with a chilling story that leaves no one indifferent. Starring Kang-ho Song (The Host, Secret Sunshine), Thirst is a must-see for thriller fans of all ages. Co-produced by American studio majors Universal Pictures and Focus Features. Screened in Cannes 2009 to great critical acclaim.
