About the movie

Jim Arnaud, a Texan police officer, faces a personal meltdown following a divorce and the death of his mother. Dealing with the grief and struggle of raising his daughter on his own, he finds himself trying to keep up with everything that’s going on around him, while his life is slowly falling apart.
Jim Cummings is the writer, director and lead in his tragicomic debut feature film Thunder Road. It won the 2018 SXSW Grand Jury Award, and the short film version from 2016 won the Short Film Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. The feature has been praised by audiences as well as critics for its entertaining take on moments in life that sometimes evoke unanticipated emotional messes – emotions impeccably captured by Cummings.
