A unique rendition of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, one of the great classics of love and jealousy, set in a Rio de Janeiro favela during the Carnaval. Marcel Camus’ Black Orpheus has left a footprint in jazz and bossa nova music as well as film history. It won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, and upon that the Golden Palm in Cannes.
